As People10 Karuna continued to broaden its CSR initiatives beyond education and healthcare, we dedicated Saturday, 24 January 2026 to supporting causes that champion dignity, inclusion, and kindness. The morning began with a visit to Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, an organisation whose work has transformed countless lives through education, rehabilitation, and skill development.
More than a CSR visit, it was an opportunity for our volunteers to connect with inspiring individuals, understand their journeys, and contribute in a way that could make a meaningful difference in their everyday lives.
Creating Opportunities Through Inclusion
For decades, Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled has been empowering persons with disabilities and underprivileged children by providing access to education, rehabilitation, vocational training, and livelihood opportunities.
The organisation believes that every individual deserves the opportunity to live with independence, confidence, and dignity. Through its holistic programmes, Samarthanam continues to remove barriers and create an environment where ability is celebrated over limitation.
This shared belief in empowering lives made the partnership with People10 Karuna both meaningful and purposeful.
Responding to a Meaningful Need
During our interactions with the Samarthanam team, one need stood out clearly—mobility is often the first step towards independence.
Recognising this, People10 Karuna contributed wheelchairs, helping individuals with disabilities navigate their daily lives with greater comfort, confidence, and freedom.
While the wheelchairs represented practical support, they also symbolised something much deeper: the belief that every individual deserves equal opportunities to participate fully in society.
A Morning Filled with Compassion
The visit quickly became much more than a donation ceremony.
Our volunteers spent time interacting with beneficiaries, listening to their stories, and learning about the remarkable work carried out by the Trust. Every conversation reflected resilience, determination, and optimism despite life’s many challenges.
One of the most heartwarming moments of the day was joining the Samarthanam team in serving lunch to more than 300 children. Sharing a meal together created an atmosphere of warmth, belonging, and genuine human connection that left a lasting impression on everyone present.
